Paul Thomas Anderson has directed a new Haim music video

Words by David Ehrlich

Take a first look at the band’s new single ‘Right Now’.

Paul Thomas Anderson is no stranger to making music videos, having shot numerous short accompaniment over the years for the likes of Radiohead, Joanna Newsom and Fionna Apple.

Now the writer/director of Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood and The Master has shot a live studio recording of HAIM’s forthcoming single ‘Right Now’, taken from the band’s second album ‘Something to Tell You’, which is released globally on 7 July via Polydor.

The song is launched here as a video featuring HAIM members Este, Danielle and Alana in a recording studio – all captured in a single take. It’s the first new material from the band in several years, and another curious career turn from the acclaimed American filmmaker.
